About Me
OUR INTRODUCTION
Being brought up in the church as a young inspiring singer, singing gospel hymns I began to discover a little note or two (lol), and I began to seek more and pay attention to the real singers of the church like my Aunt Geneva.
“Music is the great uniter. An incredible force. Something that people who differ on everything and anything else can have in common.”
Then one year there was a talent show in my complex (Duke Street Apartments to be exact) I wanted to sing a song and there my mom (in tears) knew I could do a little singing. In her words, “My baby can sing”. I was already listening to Micheal Jackson, Usher, Destiny’s Child, Mary J Blidge, Musiq SouldChild, R. Kelly, 702, Escape, Whitney Houston, and older groups like Silk, The OJs, Charley Wilson aka the Gap Band, etc.
